Opatija - an everlasting gem along Croatia's Adriatic coast
a detail from my new product: the 2026 Weekly Planner Zagreb
I have been documenting travels around Europe and inside Zagreb since 2013.
That's when I bought my first and only Nikon DSLR. That was at a camera fair in Zagreb.
I also own analog cameras, but I'm staying loyal to a Leica camera on my Huawei mobile phone.
It's mostly with this mobile phone that I go on long walks.
I know, I shouldn't use a mobile, but it sometimes IS the most efficient way, because everyone carries a mobile phone, and nobody pays much attention when I'm pointing it to include some faces in the scene. That way I can document on the sly.
So, more often than not, there's no need to carry the digital camera around.
I have been living in Zagreb, Croatia's capital, for more than 30 years now.
I guess I can call myself a Zagreb photographer.
A photographer documenting Zagreb, but not limited to the boundaries of this town.
Parallel to my writing aspirations, photography has always been my evergreen passion. It keeps my eyes wide open to the world.
I have visited many European cities (you'll see them in the Cities section).
You can view these photographs as mementos. Keepsakes. Visual leftovers from my travels around Europe.
Just looking at these photographs takes me back to the many cities of Europe, all magical and rich with their culture.
Let these photographs inspire you to begin your travels right away—as soon as you set your eyes on them.
